I don't think having a textual article auto-scrolled and voiced adds anything at all, and people who do want that can do it themselves, and have it set to their choice of accent, speed, etc.

Video links tend to do worse than text links on Lemmy, so you'd probably have been better off all round just posting your original blog post.

I think that's true. I trust Mozilla, based on their statements and their actions, and I distrust Facebook for those same reasons. Compromise is the only path forward, despite those who argue we should reject anything that's not perfect.

The higher protein part is true, and also humans are the only animal to shed emotional tears. It makes sense that it's a signalling mechanism - we know that evolution has given social animals other visual indicators.

What's that quote - something like "science progresses one funeral at a time"? Even scientists have their favourite theories that they'll defend in the face of logic and evidence.

My absolute favourite is when the examples say something like "production code should not be written like this, this is just for clarity" with no indication of what's wrong with the code.

Is it just normal Rust stuff like there's unwraps everywhere and it's one big file? Does the example have security or performance problems? Is the example unidiomatic or over-verbose or is it ignoring features real-world code would use? EXPLAIN YOURSELF!
