Then the UK's equally dumb: it was 10:04 pm BST (GMT+1) cos daylight savings is a thing in most of Europe too. At least it's synchronised across Europe^[The EU is planning on killing daylight savings but I have no idea if the UK will do the sensible thing and go along when/if this happens] so you just need to remember that most^[thanks for making it more confusing, Mexico] of North America changes a few weeks earlier.

Also, the UK says GMT/BST which is nice and clear - calling both EST and EDT "Eastern Time" makes even more of a mess!

And yes, I've just rediscovered you can use footnotes, why do you ask?

Iron Sky, one from the "so bad it's good" shelf.

There's the idiom "return to the fold" which means come back to a group, but aside from that I don't think many non-farmers know that meaning of fold.

I used to have some with e-ink displays that showed how full they were, but I always wished I could use them to show a label instead.

It starts out seeming quite credible and ends up in tinfoil hat territory.

I agree - it's like a fun code-golf challenge in that you end up with awful, write-only code but you may well end up with a deeper understanding after solving it. It's for circumstances almost opposite to an interview.

The proposed solutions don't even work - for example the tan is only meant to display once per letter.

The actual question does at least ask when it's JS suitable and when isn't it - for example it's irritating to have to wait for a page to init just to be able to access a drop-down menu (hint: use active in CSS instead of a JS toggle).

Why would the BBC want old film, once they had the footage? They've already thrown them away once! It's only of value to collectors at this point, and the Beeb can't sell it if they're claiming it's lost.

When I saw it would be “house”, I was worried that it would be an hour of that boring, background house that some people seem to like. I didn't need to worry, there were some crunchy tracks in there. Thanks for the set @Dettweiler42@lemmyonline.com, looking forward to more.

@Psythik@lemm.ee this is taking me back, although many of the remixes are new to me. Give us more notice next time you're on the virtual decks!

It's great, but hardly underrated! It's been mentioned by the Lemmy devs and gets referenced all over Lemmy. Deservedly so.
