I hope it wasn't a long drive, thank you for putting us ahead of your own plans.

Bad wording on my part, I wasn't disagreeing. My file server has a /files directory because it saves me a few key strokes and because I can.

Is Gobo case-insensitive by default? Typing those seems annoying.

Hang on, this is (or was at the time) the major of St Ives? That's weird.

I just remembered about this and today's was more challenging.

Plenty to read, thanks.

I see that first paper is for tropical environments, is this also found in other parts of the world?

This is a great read, particularly the points about balance.

My phone's camera only has the thirds grid, unfortunately, although I had an older app that used to have a few options (but not dynamic symmetry grid).

Was this fixed for you? I'm on 10.0.0.0 (12654) after installing on a new Android phone, syncing with Navidrome. Sync seems fine to me (although I have spotted a bug in Navidrome when using capitals in usernames).

Champions of the laws, who had been campaigning to get the legislation passed in the face of a rise in popularity of the far right before the European parliament elections in June, seized on the move as a great victory.

Unfortunately, this might help those far-right populists by giving them something topical to rant about.

I think season 4 was the peak, and it looks like that's a common opinion: https://www.ratingraph.com/tv-shows/game-of-thrones-ratings-26649/

The episodes remain highly rated until the last season, although those of us who had read the books were complaining more before then - for me it was the combining of characters in a way that created plot armour, which ruined a big part of what made GoT great.

I asked the various AIs for help, but no joy there. It doesn't ring any bells to me. I guess the leader takes revenge because it happened in their territory?

You're 100% right, I think we do a lot more to stop content rotting like this. Now it's half gone, with any contributions from other instances unable to federate, fracturing any more conversation.

Maybe we need to do two things:

• ensure that popular instances aren't single-admin shows (so there needs to be a team with the skills, finances and motivation to run if one or more disappear, or at least the credentials in escrow so someone can step in)
• have some system to backup/migrate content

The migration one is tricky, because ActivityPub is very tied to urls. I guess that you could make dummy account for the conversation you brought over, so you'd at least have a read-only record.
