Games you've played before are definitely easier to watch and appreciate. But sometimes my favorite run at a GDQ is something I wasn't aware of before, and the run just pops off with good skill and commentary.

Super Meat Boy is always an impressive watch. Castlevania games, F-Zero, Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong.

Also if you wanna laugh, watch the "Awful Games Done Quick" block, starting with Superman 64 and ending with Kevin Costner's Waterworld

Interesting thought experiment lol, what's the difference between the knife stabbing a human vs an animal (meat)

Not necessary, 0.18.5 didn't have any database changes. But even if there were database changes, upgrades run the upgrade scripts sequentially anyways.

the 30th also gained slightly over the 29th, from 38,867 up to 38,940

Is there a link to a GitHub issue or pull request that I can track for this?

Instead of building a new ActivityPub implementation, you could just run a regular instance of Lemmy and pull data from its database directly? Or use its API for searches?

Would be cool if they added a placeholder page that said search in progress or something

following users? (programming.dev)

I just opened someone's profile in another instance and saw this message

"You are not logged in. If you use a Fediverse account that is able to follow users, you can follow this user."

but I don't see anything about following a user here, do we have this disabled here? if so then why?
