This will prevent the usual de-duplication of the posts, thereby preventing the biggest post from cannibalizing the upvotes from the rest
There should probably be an easy way to upvote the crossposts without visiting each one
I filed an issue on Github for this: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/2825
Honestly after reading the headline I expected the average difference to be 1-3%, 7% is kind of amazing lol
Do you know some more hidden remake gems?
OpenRCT2, eDuke32 and other Build Engine source ports, Doom has many source ports
and ScummVM for many old adventure games
A database of bans with tags for the ban reasons could work, like https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/censured
I wouldn't use email as a great example for spam filters, considering how much it caused Gmail to take a monopoly and how often it blocks emails you actually want. You practically can't self host email anymore.
reminds me of the Blade movie https://youtu.be/KZnb8InfpHI?t=42
When I first read "hold close to cast" I thought it meant close as in the X button to close/kill the app lol, made no sense. Now I realize they mean close as in nearby...
They should've figured out a way to communicate that the Series S will last until next gen, but the Series X would get more cross-gen games when next gen launches
Or they should've known that RAM is hard to scale on and they could've included an extra 2GB or so in the Series S lol
But I'm actually a believer that BG3 could be made to run on XSS even with split screen, it's just gonna take more work and reduced graphics maybe audio quality too, and smarter data streaming from the SSD
This is really great, it's basically the same effect as what OP is doing when browsing c/All on a large instance, except you can do it on a small instance and without using an insane amount of system resources on your server
I don't get what you mean here? A separate cost for a VPS and an instance? You know it's possible to run 2 Lemmy instances in the same VPS? You just have to change the docker config to use a different port
Yeah I'm not sure "average person" works the same.... maybe "median person"? 🤣
The 10% nerdiest people hold 90% of the nerdiness?
But yeah I don't think "average person" works, because it's not a wide enough range and doesn't include the opposite extreme end
"non-normies" is a very small group, in this context non-normies would be the most extreme gamers. The "average people" would not include a somewhat invested gamer, and it also wouldn't include someone who is heavily opposed to gaming, both of which would be included in "normies".

Other options are changing your sorting method. Like if they're currently dominating the Hot feed, they're probably not also dominating the Top 12hr feed, just switch to that.
