I guess being able to browse public profiles and posts would be good, but if it's like Facebook then wouldn't most people be using their real names and posting about semi-personal IRL stuff?

Steam Deck is 43% of Linux, and Linux is 1.91% of the total, so Steam Deck is 0.8213% of the total
the RX 580 is 0.97%, "AMD AMD Custom GPU 0405" at 0.82% might be the Steam Deck itself? then next is the 6700 XT at 0.72%
My controllers updated today, anyone know if that fixes these issues? I've never tried a Quest 2 myself and haven't gotten a chance to try the update today anyways

Which is part of why we should want all the popular social sites to be federated, so that holding the userbase doesn't create an insurmountable monopoly and you can easily move to a better alternative without leaving your friends and content behind

I think home and end are really good and useful (especially when you combine them with ctrl or shift), you might want an insert key if you use linux terminals at all (shift+insert for paste)
I also like keys for volume up/down, or mute

I think Lemmy should come up with a meta cross post type. Where the post only exists once, but it’s indexed in multiple communities, and moderators of those communities can remove the cross post. Without affecting the original post

If not that then give us the ability to have relative references to posts inside of Lemmy. Instead of referencing a URL to a specific instance, kind of like the ! Or @ for for community names and usernames.
No I think you're right, give them an instance. They won't have enough knowledge to choose an instance anyways. If they don't like the one you gave them then they can move later.
