If you’d rather not block the whole community

Other options are changing your sorting method. Like if they're currently dominating the Hot feed, they're probably not also dominating the Top 12hr feed, just switch to that.

I think the only controversial one here is "Flagship graphics cards".

I agree that they wouldn't be worth it for a lot of people, but their performance per dollar has actually been pretty competitive with the lower tier GPUs. The other things on their list don't give you nearly as much improvement for your money.

And if you include AIO-cooled models in the discussion, there's no telling how much money you'll end up wasting on a graphics card, which is just one component of your PC.

This part makes sense though, the 3rd party AIO models can get crazy.

That would make community names a bit longer so they'd be more annoying to type and share?

I do think there could be some features added to help avoid full defederation. Like if instance admins could set a default list of banned instances, and the users could choose to unban those instances for themselves. Of course defederation could still be necessary sometimes like for illegal content, software bugs, or malicious attacks.

My controllers updated today, anyone know if that fixes these issues? I've never tried a Quest 2 myself and haven't gotten a chance to try the update today anyways

really cool! I was so ready for claiming the server being a pain like running something on the server itself, but nope it's the easiest thing ever

I give Fediseer my instance name and the username of my admin account on there, and it sends a Lemmy PM to my account with a code in it that I just paste into Fediseer!

https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/detail/lemmy.mods4ever.com

(minor bug report, if you open the page in Incognito/private mode then you see a bunch of errors, but everything seems to work fine anyways)

I think they're mostly just a publisher now, but they've been putting out good stuff.

that's intentional for threads with 0 comments to show up

https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/03-votes-and-ranking.html

"New Comments: Bumps posts to the top when they are created or receive a new reply, analogous to the sorting of traditional forums"

traditional forums also showed threads with 0 comments (or else obviously no one would ever be able to see them and comment in the first place lol)

if we wanted to keep the word instance then yea "default instance" isn't bad, or maybe "home instance"

Couldn't you toggle the mod posts only option on and off based on your availability? Maybe make a pinned post explaining it and write in the times it will be available inside that post?
