Soldat was awesome, I loved the Rambo mode lol. That game had such good movement.

One of the nicest things about these communities is how easy it is to have good conversations with internet strangers.

Maybe at that point people would use the Local feed more when they want to interact with their neighbors?

I know it's a bot driven community but somehow they actually pulled it off. Lemmy users are actually leaving comments and voting over there.

More on point 2, the federation just means the community is bigger than it otherwise would have been, you don't need to mention it to people. Telling people that this site is popular because of federation is like telling people that TikTok is popular because they burned a lot of money on advertising and stuff, no one cares why.

And yeah inviting people to a specific instance is the way to do it for sure. Just give them the link directly to the signup page lol.
