I played the first Monkey Island as a kid with my family and still love these games. Great humor, puzzles, and music. #1 is probably still my favorite, all of them are great except maybe #4 I still need to play (now that it works in ScummVM it's a lot better with modern computers). #2 is probably the hardest game in the series. Tales of Monkey Island is maybe the easiest but still good. Return to Monkey Island was also very good.

release order is the way this series hooked the world, that's the most likely way for it to hook your friends too

I'm just saying that Lemmy is a software not a website or service, it's a bit unfair to assume that everyone running the Lemmy software will host all of the content from different sites, you don't see this issue with Reddit because no one else is hosting the Reddit software

It's something we could improve, but I also think that it's not right to suggest all content hosted on any Lemmy should be visible on every other Lemmy. I mean the users who enjoy the Beehaw community probably aren't interested in seeing Hexbear content anyways, so this is actually a good feature for them. Each instance admin should have a target market/demographic that they want to appeal to, so they curate their content to match that for the optimum experience for their users.

Similarly Reddit users probably wouldn't like it if all 4chan content was mirrored to Reddit.

New users don't want to be required to block 1000 accounts when they first start, that's more friction to joining a new social network. I mean Lemmy users already get turned away by the Lemmit bot and that's just 1 single account to block lol literally like 2 clicks.

Yeah Deus Ex is definitely my choice too! (though I don't usually play with GMDX)
