Yep. It wouldn’t be wise for me to get one right now at that price point, and I make we’ll into the 6 figures.

I’d like to wait a generation or two before shelling out that cash.

But yes, I will have one at some point.

Agreed. That scene and the one where he’s trying to bond with his kids while recording them just didn’t feel like a “human experience”.

Even watching him do it, I felt disconnected.

But I mean, I get it. Recording 3D video of my precious family time is a very valuable prospect.

This is my take as well. $3,500 has me out priced right now. I could get it, by my wife would kill me if I chose this over some new furniture we need.

If they indeed deliver what they’re promising, the price is justified.

But, I would need the world to look real when in the headset, not like a 3D video.

I’d use this for work and video entertainment/3D experiences.

My Quest for games that work better with controllers, when my hands need that tactile feel.

Depends. If I want to find something local, like a new eatery or hotel (something based on location), I use Google.

If I want the definition of something or need something explained, I use ChatGPT. I also use ChatGPT daily to help me write emails.

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese mixed with Ground beef. Not healthy, but very delicious.

I've been using iOS app Ivory for Mastodon, and it's FANTASTIC. Little did I know, they also make my favorite calculator app, Calcbot.

I would love it if they swooped in and developed for Lemmy.

Techmeme.com is my favorite website.

Mlem has potential.

A lot of work to be done. Crashes often, upvote button doesn’t always work for me, my favorited communities don’t stick at the top, no alerts, and not sure how to check my last comments or posts.

To me, it seems obvious to create an account on the “largest most general” server, as they are likely to not be blocked.

What are the pros and cons of creating your account on lemmy.ml for example?

The risk I see with creating my main account on a smaller server is the potential for the smaller server to go away if the creator decides to stop hosting. Right?

Haven’t been excited for a WWDC in a while. Hoping the headset is cool tech to marvel at. Have been looking forward to seeing a new hardware category from Apple. What do you think?

**First Lemmy Post, more of a test.

The sidebar to this community sums it up pretty well. “ A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the latest releases.”
