You can always check https://www.hovatek.com/forum/ It's similar to xda. People often ask about how to unbrick their phones (another risk you have to deal with when installing custom roms) but you can also ask if someone managed to install an unofficial rom on the same model as yours. I've been using custom roms since 2011 but i stopped with my current phone (Tecno Spark 20) cause i bricked it and couldn't revive it. Luckily i managed to find a shop with the official unbrick tools. So now i'm sticking to stock. I'm using the Adguard app with vpn to block most ads I'm mostly satisfied with what I have so until i get another phone, i'm out of the game right now.

Hello. I recently bought a Tecno Spark 20 pro. 8Go (+8Go expendable) 256Go storage. 5000mah battery, SD card, with a MTK chipset (MT6789 G99) very satisfied with my purchase. No custom rom development on it yet, but the OS is decent and you can easily debloat it. If you don't want a Chinese brand, i think there's the Samsung Galaxy A15 4G with this chipset.

cause i need a locked Bootloader or otherweise WhatsApp (which i unfortunately need) wont work, but coming from a rooted rom, unrooted android is unbearable> You can keep your bootloader unlocked and rooted and still get WA to work. Check this xda post: https://xdaforums.com/t/problem-with-whatsapp-and-bootloader-unlock.4642218/post-89755699

I have PIF and LSposed installed with denylist active for WA, Gplay and GplayServices. It's working.

Hi, I did a quick search for it and i see what you mean. Most of those site assume you already have bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed, but don't even give good instructions anyway. Here's a link i found that gives a detailed procedure from beginning to end. It's from 2022 but it should work. I have done this on an old phone (galaxy A20). Make sure you backup your data. https://www.thecustomdroid.com/galaxy-tab-a7-2020-rooting-guide/ For degoogling, i would recommend looking up MicroG to replace Gplay store. Good luck!
