Theres actually a lot at the gym you can't do at home. Any barbell movement (big stick with weights on the end) you can't do unless you have one at home, all the cardio machines, workout classes, cable machines, etc. I enjoy my gym time because I'm able to get a better workout at the gym compared to anywhere else. You can basically where anything to a gym. If you're doing upper body, just make sure you have a loose fitting shirt on, if youre doing lower body have loose fitting pants on. Gym time is what you make it. If you find one thing fun, you're allowed to just do that.

The problem with interpretation is that, if you can make a convincing argument about why something should be seen a specific way, youll have people see it that way. Same thing here. I agree that it's a possible interpretation, but it also just depends on who you're talking to. Point being others in the comments with wildly differing views, but with justifications that are equally as valid. Who knows what's the right interpretation, your guess is as good as anyone's.

Start up a fresh VM in the distro you're using and follow instructions on how to initialize it there. If you do this and it works on the VM, you'll know it's some sort of system config error instead of a user error. I have no other ideas bc I've never done that before but best of luck :)
