Use gets on a stack buffer, but don't enable stack canaries and make the stack both writable and executable. Your users will thank you.

I'm curious about your point of view bc ur comment sounds like you don't believe in religion but your username sounds like something religious(I'm not a native Arabic speaker). It roughly translates to "witness of worship", right?

I would say probably submit a bug report that says what you were using as ur dev env at the time. If they patched it, they'll delete your report and if they haven't patched it, you've given them some great info. Either way it doesn't hurt to leave a report
