I'm sure it's about that for some people, but yeah if they ever actually get significant market share they will enshittify so fast it'll make your head spin. The only thing that has changed is they've decided they need to make a bare minimum experience instead of just throwing money around.
Every time you open LinkedIn in a Chrome-based browser, LinkedIn’s JavaScript executes a silent scan of your installed browser extensions.
Still wrong, but but not quite as scary as "searches their computer for installed software" which makes it sound like it broke out of browser sandbox
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthcare_in_China
Despite this, public health insurance generally only covers about half of medical costs, with the proportion lower for serious or chronic illnesses.

Her mother was hit by a car on the way to work in 2017 and suffered a serious injury.
While it sounds better than the US by leaps and bounds, it seems like Chinese people that aren't rich can still be financially ruined by medical situations that the rich get to buy their way out of.
These numbers are always shitty napkin math that assumes every pirate would be a paying customer even though a lot of them don't have the money to even spend as much as they calculate, would just skip jumping through all the hoops they've created or don't even have a legal way to purchase in their country. Completely brazen lies every time
You're right about Linux but you're wrong about windows. It is sent to the event loop in windows https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/winmsg/window-notifications. It's been a long time since it was my job, but you actually had to pass a certification that your application exited gracefully in response to these messages as part of the partner program back in the day.
What? I am basically the opposite of a crypto bro. The term "FUD" has been around a long time https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty,_and_doubt
Not defending pseudoscientific health regimens, but the acid in "a spritz of lemon" doesn't neutralize an arbitrary amount of alkalinity
It's fun how people make this stupid "they're not actually rich" argument while they buy politicians to fuck everyone over.
Exposes? Everybody that pays attention has known about the bullshit that is gerrymandering forever.
No. Quit letting the far right edgelords do whatever they want with culture.

I use arch because it is the boring but stable system. Rolling release means you just keep updating it and it works forever rather than having to do big bang upgrades between LTS versions that always break something
