Usually when we say that it's in response to someone that hasn't put in the work saying we're smart as a way to justify continuing to not put in the work. I spent the first several years of my professional career learning outside of work and still keep tabs on technology in a way that others don't. My skill level is because I methodically cultivated it over years. Maybe I'm "smart" or maybe I'm not, but it's upsetting when someone acts like I was just born good at technology when I spent a lot of time and effort to get this way.

Because all the companies that get enough attention are funded by venture capital, and only sociopaths have the stomach to deal with venture capital.

They're still making money hand over fist. This is yet another shield for the fact that capitalism as we have implemented it is a dog shit system and we at the very least need real labor laws like a civilized fucking country

1. This is completely besides the point, but I personally view factory farming as different than what happens in nature.

2. This is also beside the point, but you are making some wild logical leaps here. The fact that I personally don't want to support factory farming because I think it is cruel in no way means that I think other people "enjoy animal suffering" and assuming that is arbitrarily assigning thoughts I have never had to me.

3. None of the above is really relevant because I should be allowed to go about my day without justifying my dietary choices just as people that eat meat should.
