The thing most people, in the US at least, lack, are the security that they're going to have basic needs met unless they work 40 hours or more a week until they die. This means they barely even get the time to do things that make them happy.

We could have a society where everyone gets food, shelter, and medical care, and still work less than we do now and actually enjoy life. We don't, because the mega-rich people won't let us and not enough people have awoken to these realities.

In hindsight, backports are insanity and just always using upstream is obviously the way to go. People underestimate the cost of testing.

1. It has to actually happen to be effective and is something that can be dropped under time pressure where something built into the language cannot.
2. Test code is also code that is not guaranteed to be correct, and also incurs it's own maintenance tolls

Removing the need for entire classes of tests cases is a huge win

The whole narrative that people are assholes because they have a small dick is problematic in the first place.

While the joke is ostensibly that they have a small penis therefore they have a loud car to compensate, the cultural thought process is actually the other way around; they have a loud car, therefore they must have a small penis. Meaning, having a small penis is something to be hurled as an insult when you don't like someone. It's basically the same thing as using "gay" as a derogatory in the 90s and should be treated as such.
