Yes it blows my mind everyone can't see all the historically perfectly fine software starting to crumble to dust

The reasonableness of your assertion kind of comes down to environment. Say NPM where people go nuts with dependencies (and is the subject here). If for instance there is a security issue in a package used by the package in question and you must update the package in question to get the package with the security warning updated, then you must update the package in question, and there is every expectation in the NPM ecosystem that semver is followed.

That said, being rude to the developers is immature and counterproductive, and moving to a different solution if a package repeatedly causes problems would be the sane course of action.

How does unique_ptr teach reference counting? It's just a way to interface with RAII and move semantics

What's the excuse for omarchy? It's completely irrelevant.

Oh yeesh. Sounds like it's got a good way to go before regular use becomes viable

Well, we endure extreme societal pressure to avoid lifting weights

Is this actually true? Like half the women I know lift and gymfluencers is a huge thing

Even the benign psychological manipulation away from just starting a game and enjoying it that is achievements is annoying

I'm not convinced you're not just trolling, but in case you're not, let's find out if you acknowledge some facts.

  1. do you understand that Israel is an aparteid ethnostate?
  2. do you understand that Israel is committing genocide?

I guess you could say I'm impressed if we were discussing it like a beta preview of something that might be cool eventually. But what we're doing is treating it like it's amazing for all sorts of things it sucks at because it's unreliable and shoving it in everything.

So yeah, I'm unimpressed with the reality vs the sales pitch.

Absolute favorite is probably either Bloodstained or Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. Every Metroid and Castlevania is good though. Ender Lilies, Shantae, Momodora and Alwa are some other ones I've really liked off the top of my head.

Not Hollow Knight, which thinks it's clever to not fill out the map as you go unless you happen to pick the path the map dude is on. Makes me feel like my time isn't respected which is a pet peeve of mine. Also other than bosses the combat is boring and repetitive and you don't get stronger fast enough for revisiting areas to not be a slog.

I mostly play on PC these days but historically it was Nintendo consoles. I like exploring maps.

Couldn't you just, like, turn it off?
