Are "southern" recipes even localized to the southern US in present day? isn't it more about ultraprocessed food? Mostly the same stuff is consumed everywhere in the US yeah?

Other than the part about debt your view of university is completely divorced from reality. People are there to learn and prep for careers and there is no propaganda as part of the education.

If you think people are "polarized" it's because you're a right wing loser that doesn't understand that people are more the same than different which people tend to learn when they interact with people that are different from them which tends to happen in college.

Abortion rights (and everything else that was a constant campaign point for both the rs and ds) were hanging by a thread on supreme court decisions for years and years. They had decades to actually legislate them.

Assuming that's the menu that is accessed from the tab bar, my first thought is that it doesn't have everything the current one has. Where are "find in page" and "desktop site"?

I've only ever given a cursory look at personal repos when they're volunteered. I'm most likely to just look at a readme and maybe look at a small section just to see what the style looks like and if any characteristics stand out, then maybe use discussion of the project (with standard topics I ask everyone unless I happened to see something interesting) as a discussion starter.

In summary, at least from my perspective, I would recommend just doing whatever interests you and being ready to discuss, if you volunteer a project. I also generally think the impact of presenting a portfolio of personal projects tends to be overestimated.
