The AUR is kind of a trap. It can be useful but it has the warnings it has for a reason. Maintainers are not vetted so you depend on them both to be benevolent and competent and neither are reliable.
No one should really use it without taking the time to understand pkgbuild but you have people recommending AUR helpers like yay and tying AUR updates to regular system updates which is a terrible idea

This isn't new information to the majority of people who care. The trick is mobilizing society to do something about it (like general strike). You may be newly awakened, but the majority still are not.

It's funny because as a kid I always thought monopoly was bullshit and hated it. I felt vindicated when I finally heard that was the intent as an adult, but as a kid it was supposed to be taken as a lesson to be graceful whether you win or lose

Yes there is. No one wants to listen to us. I've had 3 levels of people above me ask me how I've incorporated AI into my workflow. I don't get any pushback because my effectiveness is well known, yet the top down edict that everyone else use these shitty tools continues unabated.

It's old lunacy. Believe it or not we live in a class based society where the vast majority of the people that actually provide value to society have their labor stolen by leeches that make money by having money and that is what that person means by the investor class.
