It's not new, but you're wrong about personal data not factoring in. Companies will absolutely try to low ball you if you're unemployed, or offer you less if you volunteer your current salary, or offer you more if you're getting other offers.

This new stuff is a problem because they're going to end up colluding through software just like landlords and it should obviously be illegal but they'll get away with it until people catch on and the law catches up, or forever depending on location.

It's more that nosql makes sense of you have very specific performance characteristics and can accept very specific constraints.

Alternatively, you want to use a document db because you don't understand that delaying implementing schema integrity or implementing it yourself in the application layer instead of having it baked into your database will be more complex and slow you down in the long run. RDBMS isn't slower than a generic document DB.

I don't dislike that art style in other games but nothing about that trailer gave me castlevania vibes

Even if you filter out game devs, you seem to think "tech worker" means "silicon valley startup or FAANG", but the field is much larger than that and the compensation and treatment has never been uniform across the sector.

The majority of the field didn't get crazy high salaries though (though they mostly did get to actually keep up with the cost of living while others didn't). Since this is about game devs especially, the benefit they mostly got was getting to do the thing they were passionate about. I don't remember a time when game developers didn't have it shitty other than that.

Edit: also big tech companies were doing things like backroom anti poaching deals and other anti worker bullshit, so even the most privileged were getting fucked to some degree

You are completely full of shit and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Yeah probably lol

You're just embarrassing yourself at this point.

Makes sense, though unlike zero mission i suspect it would essentially be a graphical update more than a remake. Gameplay-wise dread isn't that different from super

It's straight up just because people will pay the price they're asking...

I loath it and the only thing I would think if someone called me it is that they have an uncomfortable fixation on my height. I think at the very best it is obnoxious.
