At first I thought it would be a Beetle or something.

Great, I hope you have success.

Random story from my youth:

Around 2006 when I was in Training as an IT specialist and when LAN parties were still a thing, the boys in my class had to much fun playing a rip-off version called "bombeerman". Instead of bombs you would place beer barrels that explode in a foam fontaine...

Anyway, the game was written in Java and I discovered, that the sprites can be replaced by any image with the same resolution. So I made versions with Mario, Link, Samus and co. Making it one of the first personal experiences with moding for me.

I have no idea why I remember about this now :D

ok so it's the classic compfort vs. security... kind of.

I wouldn't count it as desktop Linux as well. But I think it's much more likely for chrome to take over Windows than it is for macOS.

Apple business strategy is to sell ~~overpriced~~ premium hardware. They don't want to sell 300$ notebooks.

but it's been a W3C standard for a long time, and is still very niche.

Is it really? I mean there are already many completely independent platforms built on it (Lemmy, Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed... To only name a few)

Plus recently existing platforms changing to use AP like Flipboard for example or threads (even if nobody is happy about the last 😅)

Additionally AP protocol can be adapted and extended over time if it's really needed. That would also be an option in the long run.

Ah yes. I think I oversaw it. Personally I think this is not a big deal but people not very familiar with editing config files in editors maybe are afraid of doing this.

Why not removing the import and the reference in the problematic file directly once opened with text editor?

[-] Feyter@programming.dev 1 points 3 years ago

Thank you. Will definitely do this (should have done it right away I guess)

But from your comment I assume gnome-panel is the correct software for this and something is definitely wrong with my setup.

Maybe installing Debian from the live image is not the best idea?

I thought CentOS is actually downstream?

[-] Feyter@programming.dev 1 points 3 years ago

Yes that's true.

Initially I wanted to get in contact with people also using Godot show some ideas and best practices I found useful myself. Just to give something back to the community.

But creating such videos is actually more effort as I thought and lately I had not that much time to even do things with Godot. Maybe even felt much uninspired/unmotivated.

Yes! I know that it's pronounced Guh-doh / Go-Doh but I always call it Go-Dot like in ".com"

How much confusion can you put in 5 characters?
