The profits. They know current AI is LLM but the goal is to drastically increase computing power to crunch your data against you and dynamically price your life against you. Ad revenues aren't growing anymore and they need another way to make more money off the massive piles of data they have.

Correct, and greater consolidation. This has already been a long trough in the cyclical cycle. A ton of older ranchers are looking at the prices and just selling with no intent to calve another herd. Not a ton of young people lined up behind them. But economics will dictate that the herd is built back up in another 2-3 years as always.

Not the most fair comparison. Cattle herd is smallest it's been in 60+ years and prices haven't gone high enough to reduce demand enough that the herd can rebound yet. You'll see higher beef prices for another 2 years before things calm down again.
