Well this guy has no Backbone. He keeps promising a lot of things but never delivers on it.

I used it at the start in the supermarket. Now I kind of know the brands and where they are from so have not used it since 6 months.

But I found it quite useful back then.

Think it was accidental or the were shitfaced.

Well back in 2016, when I was working for a European car manufacturer, all the data of cars in China went straight to a mirror server of the government. For all other countries the data was stored at the company servers.

Back then Chinese EV vehicles were no thing, so not sure how they handle it now.

But as you said, you can safely assume all the data goes to someone. Depends if they have something like GDPR in place or not, they can see most of your data and connect it to he user account.

Totally agree with you.

They probably just introduced: "Bring your wife to work" scheme.

Next up will be the kids, when they get to press those nice looking red buttons to launch missiles. Who of us wouldn't have dreamed of launching actual missiles as kids....

What a shitshow.

Well maybe no chancellor accused people of being lazy and not working enough, being ill on purpose. Instead of taxing the wealthiest and include the civil servants in his cost-cutting measures, he just targets the poorest of the country.

So yeah I really don't get it why he gets so much hate.

I am still have not given hope, that one day Germany will just threaten the US to close Ramstein or actually will do it. If the troll in the white house keeps threatening us.

So for me it works fine on e/OS doenloaded through Aurora Store.

The results are not as good as the other huge LLMs, but for the stuff I use it is efficient enough.

There was some controversy about Organicmaps and Comaps ended up as fork afterwards.

So better to use Comaps.

Couldn't say it better. It is nowadays used to shut down other opinions, as no one wants to be named an Antisemit.

I would just add some jews, as I am pretty sure a lot of Jews and people in Israel have a complete different view than their current government.

First of all a huge thanks to this community and Lemmy, without this shithead Trump I would have never known about Lemmy. 😅 It is so nice to enjoy a complete ad-free service, after years of being on Reddit.

I wanted to share my journey how i finally got rid and replaced a lot of things by European alternatives or FOSS Apps. I have to say I was amazed how much Apps I could replace with the F-Droid Appstore.

Maybe some of the things help others to find a European alternative.

  • Desktop OS: Microsoft Windows 11 --> Linux Mint
  • Mobile OS: Android --> e/Os (bought a used phone, which allows e/OS)
  • Web browser: Google Chrome --> Ecosia, Mullvad
  • Email: Gmail --> Posteo, Tutamail (Using Thunderbird as Clien
  • Calendar: Google Calendar --> Fossify Calender and sync with kDrive
  • Desktop OS: Microsoft Windows 11 --> Linux Mint
  • Files: Google Drive --> Infomaniak kDrive
  • Photos: Google Photos --> Ente
  • Notes: Google Keep --> Fossify Notes [FOSS][P]
  • Social Media:
    • Facebook --> Deleted
    • Instagram --> Deleted
    • Reddit --> Lemmy
  • AI Chatbot: OpenAI ChatGPT --> Mistral AI Le Chat
  • Videos: Youtube --> Peertube, but barely using it
  • Translate: Google Translate --> DeepL
  • Maps: Google Maps --> Organic Maps, Here We Go, Koomot
  • Weather: wetter.com --> Cirrus
  • Online payments: PayPal --> Wero
  • Mobile Payment: Google Pay --> Curve
  • Password manager: Proton Pass --> KeePassXC sync with Syncthing across all devices
  • Travel: Booking --> Check 24

So the best part about it, I first thought I would miss Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Reddit. But actually it feels quite liberating and browsing the internet without ads.
