They will all work as standalone reads but you’ll get a lot more from a few of them if you’ve read the whole series. Enjoy.

Oops, you’re right, I forgot to include Moist VL in the picks although I’d probably go for Making Money.
I’ve signed up at the same time as the Reddit influx but have been lurking here for a while.
My interactions on Reddit were absolutely minimal, I’d only found one sub that didn’t make my anxiety flare insanely but I lost that space as the sub grew from a couple of thousand people that broke away from a big sub that was turning toxic to over 1M members and the safe friendly space I’d enjoyed got diluted by trolls and bots.
I’m really hoping this stays a safe space that the mods can control & wish them luck with the task ahead.
Oh please do dive in and get lost in Sir Terry’s world. I can’t praise some of his work enough. There’s a way in for everyone. You can delve into witches, wizards, the city watch, read them in the order he wrote them or just pick out the best of the best. If you’ve never read any then I’d recommend you start with the best, pick one of these… Mort Small Gods Wyrd Sisters Guards! Guards! Interesting Times Men at Arms (my favourite) Thief of Time Lords and Ladies Soul Music The Colour of Magic (I’ve included because it’s generally agreed to be one of the best but I personally don’t like Rincewind as the main protagonist)
We’ve just finished building a pod in the garden. It’s been a lot of hard work but the finished structure is identical to the original that we loved in the pub garden (lots of time spent drinking beer so we could taking measurements & photos to make a cad plan). We’ve enjoyed making it, including the few designs tweaks we’ve made as the build went on & it cost about a third of the price of actually buying one retail.
I’ve got physical copies of the whole discworld series although I haven’t read The Shepherds Crown and probably never will. I’ve found them all on audio for free and play them as background noise at home in an almost continuous loop.
I’ve really enjoyed Slay the Princess. Repeat the same three scenes ad infinitum to get all possible outcomes
I clearly need to watch more films that aren’t Disney or Pixar. A quick count tells me I’ve seen 35.
Ooh, the choice is tough. Am I happy, sad, drunk? Maybe Jaws, possibly Young Frankenstein, is it a Casino day? Probably it’ll be Aliens
Hello all. I’ve been lurking for a couple of weeks and made the leap today as I’ve decided this is more my home than mastodon.
I’m from the Isle of Wight (small island off the south coast of England for people that don’t know) but now live in London.
I enjoy lots of nonsense and want to keep my online world candy floss and conflict free.
Exactly. I can’t imagine knowing there’s no more work from Sir Terry so I’d rather leave the book untouched on the shelf. At the same time there are large chunks of Guards Guards I could recite having read it sooooo many times.
