Historically, the church was a place to connect with the local community. They were a proper third space. That seems to have changed a lot over the last 20 years. Now, it seems that the only people that still attend regularly are the "true believers" with their shitty politics and opinions.

There is probably a fascinating sociology paper somewhere about the knock on effects of the Internet becoming mainstream as it relates to church attendance.

It really depends how much they're willing to spend and which studio ultimately gets the project. There have been some really impressive animation feats done in the last decade.

Animation has always been a money pit on the business-side of things, but if the resources are there, you can end up with a pretty incredible work of art.

Haibane Renmei is a series that left me deeply unsatisfied. There is so much more I want to know about that world, but you can only fit so much into 13 episodes

I think all 5 of these shows are worth watching, but I don't think I would classify any of them as perfect anime with no bad episodes.

The entrenched establishment that still controls the [Democratic National Committee] [is not] interested in winning elections if it means offending [American Israel Public Affairs Committee] or their mega rich and corporate donors. They [can not] offer any meaningful change for the working class without risking their own paychecks, so they [do not] have any moves except “not Trump.”

The problem is that most people know these organizations by their abbreviations rather than the whole title

The issue is not with the message, which as you point out, is good. The issue is with the delivery of the message, which in many ways perpetuates the exact thing this message is complaining about.

It's a bit like stenciling "Black Lives Matter" on your Klan robes

How would you define use of AI assets?

Should using them in the prototyping phase of development require a tag? I don't want AI-generated assets in the final product, but I think I'm okay with them being used in test builds.

For me, as long as I can't spot its use in a publicly available release, then it doesn't really matter to me if it's used for either code or assets.

He was just checking for time travelers.

If you knew about any of these problems under past presidents, he would have to take action.

They're mixing Cream Soda with milk, and surprisingly no, the milk doesn't curdle despite being highly acidic. I have not tried it with 7Up, but it also works with both Coke and root beer.

I recommend adding a couple dashes of chocolate bitters to your coke if you want to try a version that is actually good
