When my wife and I stay at a hotel we watch cable and put on like QVC shopping channels.

It’s fun to overreact and be like “this is 100 genuine silver painted lead.” Some of the channels will have like changing infographics that flash and explode every second as the price keeps dropping so we make wooshing sounds as it keeps falling to a new low.

I’m claustrophobic just thinking about that nightmare

I’ve always said that waving to your neighbors buys a lot of favors.

I might forget my neighbors name but since he waves to me every time I see him then I’d die for that dude

Eh that seems like a major stretch. NJ used above was prefaced with “somewhat niche US info”

I even replaced what the guy said which was Chris Christie with NJ gov because I hardly expected anyone abroad to know him

I feel like if we’re going to start thinking that someone’s putting the ass in assumption just because they used something others might not understand then we’re in trouble

You’d have to kill off any slang or expressions for fear that people might not understand them

As a US citizen I think we forget how much of our shit gets out.

I’m always surprised when I go abroad and people are up to date with somewhat niche US info. I was in Hong Kong and some local dude made a reference to the fatass NJ gov who was chilling on the closed beach during lockdowns.

I do feel like I see far more people complaining about US people making assumptions than I do US people assuming. When I’m replying to someone I don’t put any thought into where they’re from unless they drop a context clue.

Paris green (what I’m assuming the book covers in the meme is made of) is one of my wife’s favorite topics to info dump on someone. I brought her to the sign museum in Cincinnati and she had like an hour long convo with the dude who worked there on just that.

No you won’t need to bleed your brakes unless you happen to take off the calipers which you shouldn’t need to do.

It’s a very easy job that shouldn’t take you too long.

Your biggest worry is probably going to be stripping bolts if they’re a bit rusted. Can get some PB blaster and spray down all your bolts ahead of time so that they’ll come off easy.

Don’t forget to check out a break-in procedure after you have the new pads installed.

Same and some days I’ll go “I’m staying in bed all day today and not leaving for shit”

I’ll order a pizza and get comfy then regret it later that night when I’m sore as shit and have bad reflux

Getting strong “MTV made my child addicted to the devils lettuce” vibes from these comments

I hate when you’re watching like a B horror movie and the camera randomly pans to a sharp object on the wall. You just know that one hour from now that sharp object is going through the monsters chest.

to keep people talking about

Honest question but do they really keep people talking about climate change?

I feel like this is the tenth stunt that I’ve read about then came into the comments and it’s just the same talk about exposure vs art vandalism.

I generally just leave these posts more exhausted and don’t give a shit about exposure or vandalism in the end. With climate change being something the furthest from my exhausted mind.

I was curious how much those blue barrels you see bodies buried in cost

If you’re feeling fancy and hate microplastics you can upgrade to steel barrels for only $50 more!

That title

Sorry for the short clip but I’m not sure where you can find the uncut versions these days.

I went through and binged season 1 a few months ago. The way they handle animals and interact with animals is so foreign that it’s hilarious.

Also apparently in the 1960s they didn’t cut shit. If they filmed it then it probably made its way onto tv. There’s so many bizarre scenes where you ask yourself why tf was this kept in.

Check them out if you can! I remember another scene where they lasso bears from canoes

Might not be super obscure but as a lifelong LoTR fan and new Trek fan this was my first watch!
