Was there any more clarification on whether this instance would "defederate" from Meta? I remember reading about it ~5 months ago and posting a general query. IIRC the response was "we'll cross that bridge if/when we get to it".

I only have very basic knowldge of how the fediverse works, but does this mean Meta (Threads) is connected on lemmy ?

Because humans introducing species to new environments always goes well 😩

This sucks, my 10 yr old dog is 2/3 of the way through a 9kg bag πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Update: I was able to swap it for a new 9kg bag. Our original bag wasn't affected by mould luckily

This week i've decided to rewatch the avatar films on blu ray. I picked up the special editions with the 3 hours worth of extras for each film. I've rewatched the first film and some extras. I'm a casual fan at best and by no means a movie critic, but here arey impressions.

The first avatar film has aged well. I enjoy the world of pandora and it is beautiful on blu ray. The details in the plants are incredible. A botanist that consulted on the film is featured in the bonus content.

I still get the sense that this could of been a two part film, with the first part ending with the destruction of the home tree. Then there would of been space go explore the na'vi tribes before the battle.

I watched the family audio version with english subtitles. The audio creatively removed the swears, but the subtitles didn't.

The bonus features had the main actors reflecting on their experiences making the film and their reflections on its success. They all played their characters brilliantly, and I was surprisingly impressed by Stephen Langs take on playing Quaritch.

Edit: Also after someone pointing this out, I can see the similatities with Fern Gully (which happens to be the first film I watched in theatre.)

I'm looking forward to rewatching way of the water, as I streamed it for the first watch.

Is that chidy 🀣

For everyday general cleaning I listen to "clean with me" season 3.

*note, even if the non cleaning related time filling chat isn't that interesting, the structure of the show helps me to "get things done"

For decluttering/organising I recommend Dana K White on youtube/ her audiobooks.

Now that I have created the habit of cleaning to podcasts I can pop on a general podcast from time to time, but def still use the cleaning podcast weekly and if im in a slump

Housework has been a longtime struggle for me. Its one of those things that makes overwhelm seem more overwhelming. I have been using a cleaning podcast ~11months. Just throwing it on in and doing what I can when i have the energy to has transformed my confidence in the ability to deal with my space. Even if its just to get started on the essentials. I hope this helps someone

I am experiencing a trigger. The difference is, I have more awareness now. Before my diagnosis, I didn't understand why I reacted to things the way that I do. I can remind myself to be gentle, slow down and take it easy. Breathe. It WILL pass.

46minutes, kind of over it. Would love to hear a Klingon song

10 minutes in, Oh I like it!

Exactly! I've also been enjoying watching the special features on movies that you don't get on streaming. I guess my local library will be the last stronghold for physical media 5 years from now

Such a blow for a BI4Ler. When budget allows I always pick up physical media of my favourite movies and shows.

I'm feeling bitter sweet about this season. Disco was my introduction to trek (though i vaguely recall watching ds9 reruns as a kid). Excited to have Saru and Book back on the small screen
