There is no “fair” under capitalism. What I read from this is that the EU has failed its citizens on promoting and helping regional brands to compete on the global market.
When the global market speaks, you can either adapt or do nothing and complain. It’s clear which one is the path the EU is choosing.
If you still want to see NSFW and just block porn communities, the best way is to go to your account blocking settings and block some lemmy domains.

That’s what taxes are for. Tax the sh*t out of cigarettes to account for the increased public health spending. Banning a substance is not the only, neither the best, solution to addiction.
