Honestly, if it doesn't involve practical satelites, rockets, or somehow harvesting more raw solar energy or something, fuck the space tech and the space race. It is a fucking waste of resources built on romanticizing breaking away from Earth. It's not happening. Travel times are too long and fuel costs too high. There is nothing particularly useful on the moon. There is nothing particularly useful on Mars. And before anyone suggests the bullshit that is terraforming, how about we start with terraforming our own planet and unfucking deforestation, desert expansion, melting ice caps, etc.

They absolutely do, they just do other stuff, too.

The company provides online services with content, community, communications, and commerce. It operates a news website at news.163.com and an associated app.[5][6] NetEase has an on-demand music-streaming service (NetEase Cloud Music). Video games the company has developed include, Fantasy Westward Journey, Tianxia III, Heroes of Tang Dynasty Zero, Ghost II, Marvel Rivals, and Destiny: Rising. NetEase operates the Chinese version of Blizzard Entertainment games, such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Overwatch. It also created an Android emulator for PC, called MuMu Player.[7] The company also owns multiple pig farms.[8] In 2023, the company revenue was US$14.6 billion.[9]

Here in the US, there was a rumor going around for a while that Taco Bell meat was horsemeat. Dunno if it was ever verified or debunked. My own opinion was just, "If it's horsemeat, then I guess horsemeat is delicious." Even if it were true, I couldn't have cared any less than I already did.

Worth $4. May not be worth completion, but worth $4. Play till you get bored then never return. Prepare for shitty character model textures and empty planets full of nothing.

Devs spent all their time trying to shortcut in randomly generative content only to succeed in getting fuck-all done with it. Having made a product they knew was shit, they made a hard u-turn back to actually hand crafting content but by then there was no where near enough time so they wound up delivering some quarter-baked trash.

I joined World of Warcraft during the Legion expansion at the behest of my friend. I'd known about WoW for a long time and how popular it was. So I was very, very surprised to find that it's UI was, frankly, utter fucking dogshit, that most all of the community modded it, and ony just fucking now is WoW finally trying to make some actual attempt to fix the shit themselves. And all of this pretty much fed into my opinion on WoW and many MMOs in general prior to true action MMOs: they are overrated, clunky crap, and I am astounded so many people put up with the shit rather than let it fall through the cracks and be left to rot, as it should. But then again, people still won't stop preordering games after so many turn out dogshit, so... people are just gonna be people I guess.

Snowboarding Kids on the N64 was basically snowboarding meets Mario Kart. Was pretty fun. But SSX Tricky on Gamecube will always have a special place in my heart

Back when that South Park episode aired, where the kids are into rockband, but don't care about Randy's ability to play real guitar. Randy doesn't get it. This is then compared to Kyle's baby brother Ike who likes to watch Lets Play streamers but does not actually play the damn video games. Kyle doesn't get it. To me, that's when divergence between me and the next generation settled in. I do not understand the appeal of streamers. I do not want to watch people play games, I want to play games myself.

Since then, a number of other things have popped up, but that was basically the recognized turning point.

Like many, first came over with the big reddit wave when Reddit changed API policy. It did not stick right away. It would take three attempts of getting into Lemmy and Sync making an app for it. I still use reddit for some videogame specific subs but otherwise I'v stopped looking at /all on reddit and will just browse here instead.

Part of me wonders from time to time how the game is doing. But I played enough of it at the time that I'm pretty done with it. Was a Swain main. I got Lulu when she came out and then I think I left a little after that.

Bro, like, literally, that just seems kinda harsh, man.

I never really understood my parents. I don't think they understood me, either. Then mom died and I inherited her diaries. Like a fool, I read them. Now I do understand her, and I hate so much more than I ever did when she was alive. She was both a terrible person but also legit crazy. So that happened

I realized I had yet to post a dude. This is because I'm pretty biased against dudes. I'd rather look at monsters, women, or some fantasy race. None the less, behold: a dude.

TIL Zendikar got revisited. And holy crap, the set looks so awesome! Both the Eldrazi and the other races. Since an earlier Zendikar was the first set I ever bought from, I'm very much going "wow wow wow," right now.

Ah, such fond memories of trolling my brothers with these bastards. Infect was such nonsense, but I loved it. Could both use these guys as walls or force a block against them and just steadily chip away at your opponent's creature's strength. Even better if you tossed equipment on them. Crossing an anglerfish with some tree root monster was a nifty idea, too.

Another Conflux card. I've always loved this card. It's very beautiful and elegant despite it being a pretty bad situation for the creature it's cast on. Or maybe it's not too bad and creatures just get exiled back to the plane they were summoned from? Hmm, now I'm wondering about the lore of the Exile mechanic. Anywho:

I've always thought the Espers from Conflux were sleek as hell. Natural bodies cojoined with slender tendrils of etherium. I also just adored artifact creatures, in general.

Chippy does have a small website, but unfortunately, his galleries are non-functional. So here's the card, I guess.
