The vast majority of coding isn’t making something new, it’s using existing patterns and tools and arranging them to fit a specific use case.

I would argue that arranging something to fit a specific use case is making something new.

Ask any designer how difficult it is to get a spec sheet from a client and meet their expectations. We're expecting LLMs to suddenly solve this problem.

Llms may not be able to create a new framework or design pattern

Until they can do this, there is little threat to designers. There will be less grunt work, of course.

For those (like me) who aren't familiar with virus genetics, this is called recombination. Yes, it is possible between influenza and bird flu because they are the same virus type.

Worker class is the true unifier. You can be lower, mid, and upper worker class.

If you have to work to live, you're working class. If your employer controls a significant portion of your life and time, you're working class.

people with increased serotonin levels had reduced sensitivity to punishing outcomes (for example, losing money in a game) without significantly affecting sensitivity to rewarding ones (winning money).

Dave will have a manager that knows this stuff. Do you think Dave does all the administration that is required to set up a concert? The guy probably has a team of people. There is no way that they didn't know. Amazon has a public reputation.

it would also cost a fortune.

That's the point. Follow the money.

Only the G-Man (and arguably Breen) understood what was about to happen.

I agree that G-Man knew what was going to happen, but I don't agree that all the scientists were naive. At least a couple of them knew the risks.

I'm pretty sure there is a sound file where a scientist says something like:

"If it goes wrong then this could happen. ... But it's highly unlikely."

it wasn’t by other scientists trying to place blame on him,

Totally. I don't think any of the other scientists were malicious.

Will Fediverse admins moderate for child safety better than corporate social platforms?

Sure, you just turn features off.

Will teenagers want to stay on tightly-moderated servers?

Maybe not, but at least we could sleep at night. Meta, on the other hand, sleeps at night on a big pile of money.

Tesla stock

The price ain't right.

Your argument assumes that the price of the stock is fundamental, rather than partly speculative. I don't think that's a fair valuation of Tesla stock due to the ability of Musk to drum up speculation value.

I'm betting on power supply. I think ACL means Alternating Current Live, and ACN is Alternating Current Neutral.

I think the component to the very right is a transformer.

Edit: The yellow box is a film capacitor, here is another image. The one in OP's image is rated for high voltage. So it's definitely taking in AC.
