They are absolutely responsible for that, fuck em
On TikTok I've seen an ad showing literal penis in vagina. But people have to say "unalive."
- Private uses Mint
- Skipper used Fedora
- Kowalski uses Arch
- Rico has a flash drive with a dozen distros that he coughs up every time he needs to use a computer
I can't open the article, but I think I read that this was hosted on an unprotected bucket. Assuming that's correct I wouldn't say this was a breach. A better headline would be "Women dating safety app 'Tea' exposed women's PII".
To be 100% clear, I'm not excusing the hackers. I don't believe it's morally correct to publicize something because it is exposed. For folks curious about that you can look into how to ethically disclose vulnerabilities. I still view this as doxxing. I still believe what the hackers did should be a criminal offense, it's just that I also believe the app holds a ton of the blame as well. How can you proclaim to be about keeping women safe while putting them at risk? That should be punished as well.
Like if the storage facility you trusted to hold your stuff never had locks on the doors, shouldn't they take a lot of the blame as well as the thief who found out a door was unlocked?
Parental controls: exist
Law makers: But what if we made people submit really sensitive information instead of requiring websites to identify themselves as adult for the purpose of content filters?
With lines like "[your political opinion] is a mental disorder", why is he surprised they aren't coming?
Context here, at least my understanding from when I worked in a deli ~10 years ago, is that EBT can only cover cold food. So they're offering to let you buy cold chicken then warm it for free.
You should be legally required to offer content you have on a copyright or else allow people to "pirate" it. The same way you must defend trademarks. If you don't actually offer content you have the copyright for them you shouldn't be allowed to prevent people from distributing it as abandonware.
Honestly, probably the best outcome.
A false dichotomy created by pop culture to divide teenagers into cliques.
California is the target of conservative fear mongering.

If this shit happens then none of us (citizens included) have due process. ICE can just say they suspect you're an illegal immigrant and lock you up forever. A lot of people seem to think that if you just show them the documents or prove that you're a citizen this won't happen. All they have to do is snatch you up. You typically see this line of thought from folks defending the current administration, like they believe if you rationally present your argument to authority they'll always agree.
