On a greater scale what you say is not happening. And that is the reason why the EU has this trade deficit.
EU needs to become self sustaining. And only import what complies to the same rules EU industries abide by. At least as far as possible

At least in germany there is a clear dependence between education and right votes.
Less education leads to more far right votes.
In a healthy democracy the government should make sure their citizens are well educated. Otherwise democracy cannot function. Uneducated people are accapting bad decisions as long as the Slogans sound good.
As far as I understood a prediction market is nothing else than a betting shop. But you can bet on anything.
