Gotcha.
So no logic, no real interest. Nobody but a drunkard accusing same ol', same ol'.

Good one!

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social -2 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Well, what's the problem, really?

Is it just you trying to add-on as a wannabe genius here, or is it moreso you have something to say..?

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social -4 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Look at my post history and then tell me that again, mate?

I'm with Ukraine all the way.

Don't you dare try to fuck with me upon some petty nonsense, like this.

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social 1 points 3 days ago

Mate, what are we even ARGUING upon at this point?

Am I the bad guy? Are you? Is @atro_city@fedia.io?

It just seems so weird how we're united upon the FV, but right on each others' throats, so to speak.

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social -3 points 3 days ago (6 children)

And I find it just as hilarious how people like you totally misunderstood things from point A.

Nevermind point B.

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social -3 points 3 days ago

Hahahaha...

Vous allez adorer le thé Earl Grey glacé !

[–] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social -4 points 3 days ago (6 children)

Oh, and is that what I was indeed saying..?

Slava Ukraini, @rockerface@lemmy.cafe.

(I love Ukraine, my heart and whatever strength is with you)

Fair, comrade, fair.

But... in this case I don't feel like I did something intrinsically wrong by accidentally posting something AI-made upon a very real, relevant and ongoing issue.

By NO MEANS did I set out to do anything remotely like that of course, but I do find that this post is kind of an accidental litmus test upon people freaking the fluff out upon even the smallest application of AI, whatsoever.

IMO we need to do better.

Like-- AI is here to stay, and we can't just downvote it away as some evidently wish to. IMO we need to do a better job parsing and recognising its effects and results, and in fact... we're already there.

People who think this idiot post of mine are the problem are going to have some THUMPING lessons to learn in future, tell you hwat.

This one comes from a certain "BadBeachBuggy" over at the Evil Empire, so why not liberate it? TBH, I'm barely familiar with the whole battlestation hobby and concept, but if it delivers like this...

And what the hey, I'll let you guess that bloke's location:

Yes, he's in Stirling, Scotland! Oh, and one more, for the road. Evidently this is all modern tech btw, just dressed up in ~50's style gear.

Zippy the Pinhead is an alt / underground comic that's been running since the 70's.

If you're an old-head like me, you may also know him as co-creator of the Wacky Packages trading cards.

One thing that's a little different here is that (as I understand it), Bil Keane actually cooperated with Griffith in letting him finish this strip. Keane evidently liked to 'let his pants down,' make some wild (unofficial) FC comics, and collaborate with his artist friends. That's fooled me a couple times now when it comes to Family Circus comics.

I love this one-panel comic, but to me the original makes too strong of a case for KAM ("Kool-Aid Man") being the jar, not the liquid. The jar, because it's more permanent, and has the face & body. Meanwhile, the liquid is only temporary, and will be remixed and re-consumed.

So I used GIMP to remove the face on the jar. Now KAM has a stronger case to potentially be the drink itself, not to mention he looks much more fun at parties.

Not really sure where the best place is for more of the authors comics, but here's a start: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22pizzastrike%22+comics&udm=2

Red Meat is (or was) an indie / underground comic that began in 1989. The idea was for author Max Cannon to take stock characters and have them interact via speech bubbles with minimal movement and scenery change. So the first panel usually wound up looking very much like the last, only with changing text. Here's an official strip, below:

Built on top of that (or alongside, whatever) was a cool webtool that allowed visitors to select two characters from a pool of two dozen+ and add their own text. Unfortunately the tool doesn't seem to work anymore. I found it fun to play with, and there was a long archive of user-submitted toons, a lot of them pretty amusing IMO. And really, just a tool to format text in to speech bubbles still seems oddly elusive even today, but that web-tool handled it like a boss.

As for the OP comic, it was created long ago by, uh... someone, and if you want to read more of the official "RM" comics, the first link offers a few dozen.

"Err, about that, captain..."

General Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett, VC, KCB, DSO (born 1870) is a loud-mouthed, childish, unintelligent, incompetent British Army General serving in the First World War. He commands Captain Blackadder's (Rowan Atkinson) unit in the TV series "Blackadder Goes Forth." His aide is Captain Darling (Tim McInnerny). Melchett was played by Stephen Fry.

For further background, see:

And a video clip of Melchett on pooh-pooh:

(in fact the whole series is free to watch right on ~~YT~~ DailyMotion, last I checked)

I thought this was an edit at first, then realised that it's parody / tribute. Oh well, I'm a bit loosey-goosey that way, so let's roll with it.

First of all, the Aussie artist Caanan Grall has more here:

And as a bonus, I love this Evy Thomas cosplay:

With all due respect:

Memories of this quote sprang out of discussion of a certain painting. A painting of the trial and execution of "Lollard" Christian heretics in 1401 AD. It seems Lollardy was a "proto-Protestant Christian religious movement that was active in England from the mid-14th century until the 16th-century English Reformation." --WP

You know, before Enery the VIII (I am I am) later came along...

NOTE : the picture in the quote graphic oddly seems to depict a cartoonishly massive-eyed Constantine, for whatever reason. Odd, because evidently Marcellinus was not a fan of the man, to put it lightly.

And the painting:

Officiously it's titled Great Clown, by cartoonist "Bogswallop."

Not sure where his most-current stuff is, but here's one collection:
