As a non-expert, I switched to Linux Mint and have had zero issues. If you have any questions let me know.

Ironically, that's a super Buddhist statement. The idea that you would go do a Buddhist meditation with the expectation of gaining something from it is antithetical to what Buddhism is about. I'm not a Buddhist, I don't meditate, but I remember going to a session with my significant other and a bunch of people were like, "how many sessions of this do I have to do before I start getting the effects (depression getting better, anger issues, etc)." They completely missed the point that the whole thing is about self-reflection, or as you said, a breathing exercise.

If you're a mindful and competent person then you probably aren't gaining much from guided meditation. If you're struggling with some stuff then taking 30 min of dedicated time to work through it is probably a good thing. If you're a certain type of Neurodivergent and have trouble focusing, then it's probably something you could do every day.

More importantly, if you're a 3rd century AD monk who has a ton of time on their hands, it's probably not a bad way to spend your time (other spiritual/religious groups would do the same praying)

Preach!

I don't hate on people wanting to believe in something, but people need to stop believing in scams in general. If you wanna believe in Jesus Christ, that's fine, just don't think you're obligated to give your money to a church that says it's helping the poor when 90% of donations go to keeping the building and pastor in good condition. The fucking gall of a pastor driving a Lexus and having a boat while even a single member of the church is poor is a fucking spit in the face.

Wow, totally not where I was expecting that response to go. Super cool, you basically had the pagan version of a christian to non-christian realization. Wild!

Freshmen year of college is all about maximizing the amount of free stuff you can get, especially food.

Unfortunately we don't need demons, humans are bad enough as is.

Genuine question, no judgement, but why did you spell it Magick in this instance?

The "for the record" was just to refresh what #2 was since you didn't quote it yourself.

this isn’t really about me, it’s about the general public.... That doesn’t change the fact that they ARE shit candidates. They were then and they are now.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here because that's a valid stance (your opinion vs the apparent public opinion) and I'll agree that they are bad candidates. However, by that logic I would argue that #2 isn't the answer then because as you said both are bad candidates and surely Trump is not a better candidate than Hillary or Harris? Would you agree with that?

I love this comment. On one hand I don't hate the idea that this exists and it's an obscure aesthetic thing. If someone wants to make super fancy cocktails then fine, whatever. On the other hand,

“Shut up and drink your whisk(e)y neat like God and the Irish meant it to be consumed. The water is already in it.”

Love it

Isn't that a bit hyperbolic? We've had two women run, neither of them were perfect, nor even great, but both of them lost to Donald Trump. It feels a bit weird to say that we haven't had the opportunity to find out if women can win the presidency when the examples are two seasoned politicians vs a self admitted sex offender, convicted rapist, and Israel supporter (instead of just an Israel denialist).

At this point we know that people of color can win, Obama did it, but the last two times a woman ran for President they lost to the same terrible person. At a certain point you have to ask,

  • 1.) is it because they are a woman,
  • 2.) Is it because they're a bad candidate,
  • 3.) Is the system so gerrymandered that they can't win, or
  • 4.) is there something wrong with the left in which they can't get there shit together and push through a candidate that is at least better than the opposition?

The fact that we're honestly looking at a potential 3rd Trump term, or the slightly more palatable option of JD Vance, vs literally anyone else is mind boggling and to me it points to #4. I don't care who it is on the opposing ticket, AOC, Harris, or the fucking Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. The Democrats aren't doing much to improve the country, but at least they aren't actively trying to ruin it.

Staff are paid though? I think I'm having trouble with understanding what your specific complaint is? Are you from the US?
