I have 4 kids. Comments telling me to put their groceries and hockey gear in a basket are hilarious.

Otherwise, I agree with you.
He understands Rust and claims to like it. He simply disagrees with the decision to have a mixed language kernel and is trying to unilaterally stop it from happening.
Deferred sacrifice. They still need to be sacrificed. He just doesn’t know when.
Linux being more popular means more applications of higher quality. I guess this does not matter to you. For those of us that would prefer more high-quality applications, Linux popularity matters.
I think most programmers would like C# if they spent time with it. It is getting a bit complex because the joke about it over borrowing from other languages is on the money. It is a nice language though and pretty damn fast these days all things considered.
I think of myself as a Firefox user but I probably use Edge on Linux more than any other browser.
It runs the video conferencing apps I need to use better than anything else. Firefox does not work at all with some of them.
Obviously, it works well with Outlook and Office 365. I use a number of LMS systems and they all work well with it as well.
Once you start using it, it is just a great browser though honestly. Before I know it, I have opened a bunch of tabs in Edge and there is no reason to open anything else.
People are going to focus on the GNU free aspect, and I like that about Chimera. That is not the right way to understand the project though.
The creator of Chimera Linux was one of the core contributors to Void Linux. Chimera is an attempt to create a distro with a similar technical philosophy from somebody that thinks they can do better with slightly different choices.
