I once saw a comment from a self-labeled 'Christian conservative' that was something to the tune of: "We need to stop taking the religion out of everything, because otherwise what's to stop people from raping and stealing and killing and blah blah."

It was then that I first had the horrifying revelation that this person (and many others, I'm sure) is at least quite strongly implying that without the threat of hell they wouldn't have any reason to NOT do any of those things.

Which just so happens to be the perfect segue for me to pitch my proposal to make 'cunt' the de facto (gender neutral, naturally) pronoun/collective pronoun.

I agree with most of this, but how have you never come across Munch's "The Scream" before? (Have to admit, I lol'd at your description of it tho)
