If it's any consolation, the ruling class doesn't like us owning things. So, chance are high that everyone will end up being renters.
I genuinely cannot believe that they think this is a good idea. After their whole Sora thing failed, you would think they would have gotten wiser, guess that's not the case. I cannot see a world where this thing do anything, but flop. Maybe they will sell them at a lost, but, even then, I have doubt that it will succeed.
Something similar that really pissed me off was when someone was caught selling Blender (open source 3d modeling application).
It's kinda funny where tech is going. We are going from programming the machines to do exactly what we want to saying what we want in natural language to some model hoping they are gonna do it right.
