Hi, all. So I'm pretty new to this hobby, and this might seem like a short-sighted question. But I was wondering, how important is the brand name when buying filament? I live in South Korea, which means AliExpress orders arrive here pretty quickly and are generally a viable option. The thing is that I see filament on Ali for half the price of the reputable brand name stuff I can get in Korea. Do any of you have any experience with the cheaper, no-name stuff? Is plastic just plastic, and the brand is just jacking up the price because they can? Or is there an important difference between the filament produced by the big brands and filament made in China that I can get for much cheaper? Any and all advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, all. So my first ever 3D printer is on its way to me. I went with an Elegoo Centauri Carbon, partially for the option of using OpenCentauri firmware. I have been looking at various models on printables.com and Thingiverse, getting excited for the possibilities. I would just like to ask if there are any big pitfalls I should look out for as I'm starting my 3D printing adventure. What mistakes did you make when you were just starting out? What resources do you wish you were aware of earlier? What general advice can you give me?

Hello, all. Apologies if this post is redundant or goes against any community guidelines or general best practices. I'm looking to buy my first ever 3D printer, and I came across some listings for the Entina Tina2 and its variants. It seems like an attractive option for me because of the price and the minimal setup required. I should also add that I don't plan on doing any very serious printing; I'm talking about fairly light usage. So I am fully aware that this printer is quite limited and basic. I don't mind that. What I'm asking is this: is it a complete waste of money? Does it do what it says on the box, or is it all scammy marketing? What red flags am I missing? Hi, all. So I am losing my mind over here. I recently paid for a domain through Njalla. I can route my email through it without any trouble, but then I thought I might like to self-host a personal website on it. I am using dietpi x86-64 on my homelab, a system on which I successfully host Jellyfin and Navidrome using Tailscale for remote access. I installed Wordpress and everything works just fine. The thing is, the moment I switch the site to an external URL, I simply cannot access it. I have added the A Records on Njalla for the domain to point at my server's public IP. I have opened ports 80 and 443 through UFW on the server, and pointed them to my the server's internal IP through the router. I have tried pointing Certbot at the URL, and it fails, returning the error that it couldn't fetch a file from /.well-known/acme-challenge (although it does show that the URL is pointing at the correct IP). I have changed my router settings to assign a static internal IP to the server.

I am at a loss. I'm sure it's something really easy and simple that I'm missing, but I cannot find what it is for the life of me. Thank you in advance for any tips or advice.
