I feel too young to have kids at the moment despite being in my early 20s.

Even with my age out the way, I'm not sure I feel the best mentally to take care of kids on a daily basis. It would feel unfair to the children and last thing I want to do is lash out at them.

Sending picture of ID with more parts of it censored to verify someone age is normal. BUT with all the details is pretty dodgy. You have dodged a bullet

Get a prebuilt PC which there are few vendors that has even has Linux pre-installed as well as the specs works great without much hassle.

The irony of the subject matters being about how bad the impact AI/LLM is

I went to town and saw Mariah Carey as a bus driver waving at me which later on in my dream, I told my mum which we had an arguement if Mariah Carey was even in the UK let alone a bus driver.

How do you exactly plan for both today and later on then if you don't mind me asking? I thought I asked as someone that wishes that they can be overall more optimistic.

I wouldn't say I used to be far-right but at high school, I have some right-wing opinion which is mostly from YouTubers I used to watch as well as I have internalise my homophobia and ableism because I get made fun of being queer and autistic that I felt like something was wrong with me.

It was around lockdown that I graduated from high school. It made me realise of the times I tried to get validation from my classmates which I never really got. Also, Black Lives Matter was trending on TikTok which made me realise how very shallow right-wing space is with them constantly moving the goalpost and framing certain scenario a certain way to fit to their agenda.

I still hate myself for it and despite I have changed, I still beat myself over it and wish I can cut myself. Better late than never but I wish I wasn't that desperate for validation that I think even the slight gay representation is too "on the nose".

As a Discord user, I don't hate it but ever since lockdown, I'm getting up of many the larger communities are on Discord. It's really frustrating when the community in question would be whatever product and only way contact custom service is through there and not email (Looking at you, PixelFX) and open-source project where only way to contract devs or ask for help is through Discord as the search engine on Discord is terrible.

The only reason why I still on Discord despite my annoyance with that chat app is that most people are on there instead of places like Matrix, XMPP or IRC. The three I mention tend to have more a techy-nerd userbase which nothing wrong with that but it hard finding as much niches compare to Discord

I mostly use Linux but on a slight occasion, I'm a Windows user.

You don't need to be the master at graphics design to make it and it can be as simple as using Mircosoft Word, Libreoffice Writer or Canvas. They may not be professional but I will take that over someone using generated AI as at least they put the effort in

You are talking about one of the most popular social media despite Elon Musk took over it.

Can't remember the exact number but I remember first discovered them on an ad break and they said it has Starships by Nicki Minaj. She is full of shit but that song feels nostalgic to me still.

At best, I have toyed around with it and it's mostly messing around with effects plugin on Soundtrap mostly for fun. Other than that, I don't know how to exactly make a good beat.

Also does people still use LMMS as I mostly use Linux instead of Windows?

I set myself a goal this year to try head to therapy as well as go to more social events. So far, so good. I did notice that I feel much happier and less depressed but for some reasons, it feels strange. Either I shouldn't be happy as the world is still a mess or that my happiness is only going to last for so long until I go back being mostly depressed and unoptimistic.

I just want to feel alive and not having my mental health restrict me from wanting to do various stuff. For the past month, I repaired a iPod, did couple sewing project and slowly become more sociable where I'm otherwise too scared to say anything. I'm still have social anxiety but it's not as terrible as it used to be and I'm slowly facing my fears.

Maybe I'm just scared that I'm putting a lot of effort to try improve my wellbeing that if I slip back, I feel like it's a wasted effort that I had put in.

I will confess, I'm not that great at grammar. Mainly, I'm the sort of person that write/type stuff as I am thinking it and barely look back at what I have wrote. I see it as that it's online and it's as informal as it gets. As long as it is readable, it shouldn't matter if it not 100% perfect.

With that said: majority of the time, I swear that they can just make out roughly what I am trying to saying. I will understand it more if my grammar for a message was so bad that they can't make out what I'm trying to say. Otherwise, I just felt kinda bullied and mocked for having bad grammar skills.

As ridiculous as it sounds, it makes me so self-conscious and paranoid to post anything and it can even be as simple as making a reply on a post. Internet is a brutal place but so is real-life. The only difference is that I would just block them which I know is little petty but I think that it would be better than me snapping at strangers online. My patience is thin and I just get sick of having people in my life just getting angry at me as well as I feel like a punchline to a joke.

For contexts, I have sensory issues with foods where I find it difficult to encourage myself eating as much of the variety. My diet isn't exactly healthy and it tends to be processed food I eat which is often my 'Safe Food' as it doesn't have a terrible taste and textures for me. Not the best but it's okay-ish where I at least I have ate something rather than have nothing at all.

I want to try break that habit so I can try to be healthier as well as not worried about eating food with other people beside my family. Hoping it means I will reduce spending money on takeaways as it does eats my money as well.

I tried to watched the video last night but it was very hard-hitting as someone with depression and who's occasionally suicidal, I had to stop around 10 minutes as it was getting too much that ChatGPT kept encouraging people to be self-destructive.

Threadverse community for GenZ where we talk about our nostalgia and anything related to our generation. It's an alternative to r/GenZ which:

  1. It's on Reddit
  2. The subreddit in question is badly moderated and full of bigots and assholes

So instead of me trying to tolerate it, I will try "be the change that I want to see" and try run the community that's both friendly and also is on a decentralised network to avoid any Enshittification.

I have only just made the community today and these are the rules. Any feedback is welcome as long as it is constructive.

Rules

1. No bigotry

This includes queerphobia, racism, sexism, ableism etc.

2. Be Kind

Try to be friendly as possible. If that person you believe is breaking the rule or just being rude, please report them and we will handle it.

3. No Generation-Bashing/Superiority

Anything that says a specific generation is better or bad is not welcome. It's a weird thing to be elitist about anyway.

4. No schadenfreude

Schadenfreude means taking happiness from the misfortune of people. People who are bigots or a total asshole also counts.

5. No NSFW subject/post

Anything sexual in nature, gore is off-limits.
