Wow, I take it back, absolute genius. Best cartoonists in the World.

I mean, yeah?

EDIT: I want to elaborate b/c the situation is intentionally drawn to be generic so that it can use any text.

Think about this comic, what about the art would lead you to believe it has anything at all to do with oil? Nothing, but it fits just as well as just about anything else b/c it was designed specifically to be generic trash. That's like my whole point, man.

Also, yeah, "guy walks into a bar" jokes are ass. Puns, too. I'm on the fence about puppies.

Sure, how about,

"We should have brought a bigger probe."

Or how about,

"I guess we'll see if they still fling their poop."

Or for some topical flare, how about,

"You sure about this? These guys have a terrible reputation with aliens."

All of these slightly change the context w/o the need to change the art.

I'm fairly certain a number of these cartoonists either "meal prep" a bunch of illustrations to caption later or maybe even sell the illustrations to the New Yorker who then have writers create the captions. I can't say but imo it makes for bland cartoons 9 out of 10 times.

I read somewhere (who knows where) Red Reader focuses on visual impaired accessibility features so Reddit Corp waives the api fees. I assume it's cheaper for them than developing accessibility features into the official app.

You've got to spend a half hour making soggy hash browns before you can afford a single soggy hash brown for yourself.

I've been on pixelfed.social for a couple years now but, as you'll see if you follow the link, I use it primarily for art.

While .social has been fine, I recently realized there is a pixelfed.art instance & I would love to be part of a community that is focused on art rather than general photos.

My understanding of Federation is that I should be able to migrate my .social account over to .art, so I submitted a request with a link to my .social & verified my email. Two weeks later I have not heard back. Not even a rejection email.

So I don't know if they just don't like me, or don't like my art, or I did something wrong, or I'm just not cool enough to hang with the In crowd, i have no idea!

I think I'm just out of luck, right? Maybe I need to wait another month?

I'm used to ghosting from Dating app matches, but this feels bad, ngl.

Great video with some tips I have not heard before concerning seemingly trivial decisions that cause serious issues as projects get larger.

The creator is an experienced programmer but seems brand new to making videos. That said, apart from an annoying number of calls for action ('leave a comment...'), it is well produced, especially for a first crack at the craft.

I used to post occasionally from lemme.ee (F) & I finally got around to making a new account.

Not much to say on the piece, hope you like it. I'm on Pixelfed.social as well
