Cryptonomicon is his best work imo. It is such a vibe all the way through, and absolutely hilarious at times. The masturbation analysis and graphs, and the cereal tangent get me every time.
I celebrated New Years in Amsterdam back in 2016. It was an absolute shitshow, and the streets felt like a warzone compared to what I'm used to in Copenhagen. This really doesn't surprise me the least.
Looks like another journalist just finished reading The Dark Forest
They have way more investors to jerk off and please now
Hope you get the job (so you can afford a new anti-stress ball)
I was just in Rome, and when I started getting hungry there was still an hour left until most restaurants even opened (19:30). Pure insanity to my Scandinavian habits.
Emulation is a matter of media preservation. Give us backwards compatibility or go fuck yourselves.
A couple of years ago, I traveled to a tiny town in southern Greenland to visit a friend. After having been there for a week, a cruise ship suddenly appeared on the ocean and a shit ton of tourists invaded the town for just a single day. They left trash everywhere and had the locals do random plays and entertainment stunts for them, and then left before sundown. I didn't see a single person buy something at the local bar or café (shits expensive in Greenland, so they probably waited to buy it cheaper back on the ship).
None of the locals enjoyed it, but had to endure it regularly to get a few critical dimes out of the tourists. It felt so fucking wrong and dirty. Fuck cruise ships and everyone supporting that industry.
Partnership and trust. The feeling that someone makes you want to become a better person, and you can trust them to help you with that journey.

I am 100% sure they are being used to launder crypto.
You can set up a crypto card as your payment on steam, buy Steam Decks and then sell them easily for your preferred fiat currency.
