Sorry I work in VFX, we've been on Linux desktops for 25 years creating pretty pictures. All the professional packages are there, Maya, Nuke, Māri, Houdini all work perfectly.

A shoulder mounted camera with lots of mass is easier to get stable footage from, it doesn't wobble around like a small handheld
It's all digital these days, pro cameras have hot swappable ssd drives so you can record to 2 drives at once for backup, or record endlessly

Yes they need to be separate lights and yellow here in NZ. We mostly follow japan's car safety rules so probably the same in many countries
