Apparently people didn't get the notice. Mortgage interest rates are still >5% for anyone renewing now. Three new houses are being built right now in the street behind mine.

Weird how our neighbourhood didn't see any new buildings from 2016-2022 but now it rains, it pours.

They could be pulling out of the GPU market but I'm unaware of that. I still hear people waiting for the Battlemage lineup so I guessed they were still in with a planned release on Q4 2024.

Otherwise, thanks for the heads-up!

Not necessarily killing it but the future is geared towards AI and machine learning. People and companies working in that sector don't mind dishing out 3K$ for a GPU, leaving desktop PC gamers in the dust.

Aside from Nvidia, I bought a 7800XT last Christmas. No drivers issues at all and plays almost everything at 1440p/120fps on medium-to-high settings. Don't forget Intel's upcoming in the GPU industry as well.

Faut aimer Dame Nature. Un hiver quasi vert mais un printemps blanc en sacrament...

Well, it's kind of addictive even if it's not fully released yet, DRG fan base is huge and devs are active; sale numbers are not surprising at all.

I'll launch that game back every time they add stuff to it.

Sucks because yeah, we're now used to being on Discord by default. Makes me miss the TeamSpeak/Ventrilo days.

Exactly the same here, we were renting up until 2018 at 900$CAD/month. Our mortgage is 950$CAD/month and our old apartment is now 1200$CAD/month. All expenses included, it's s more expensive to rent than to own.

First time buyers can't hardly get a mortgage now unless you were stashing cash or staying at your parents' for a while.

Enjoy it my dudes, blaze it.

From a Canadian who has access to legalized cannabis since 2018, it's a game changer. It's regulated and produced with known and checked ingredients, you don't get fucked up shit with added cutters inside.

Not surprised in the slightest. Anything to draw more money from us.

I don't drink nor I condone taxing people who drink but most Brunswickers already have trouble making it to the end of the month. Good luck next elections, Higgs.

C'est sûr que ça regarde bien mais "bonyeu" que les élections sont encore lointaines.

Ça peut tellement changer rapidement surtout si Legault refait son achat de votes avec des chèques juste avant les élections.

I believe you should go with someone who really wants it first. Then look at their activity on Lemmy, are they a mod for other instances/communities, how much free time do they have etc.

Make a clearer choice then.

Not that I wouldn't be interested in the position but I work night shifts and most threads are posted during the day, making me kind of useless/really late on problematic stuff.
