I am looking forward to attend the NordicFuzzCon. Looking into it more I found that they host Furovision every year (2024) and even had an Opera in 2024. Also their parade looked really nice.

I read of such stories once in a while. Sadly, I cannot relate because I always played singleplayer games back then, so I missed out on that. But I would like to add that joining pve world events in guild wars 2, there is some chance that there are people chatting publicly like they have known each other for a long time. Not sure what is is worth, though, but it always give good vibes to work together. Me playing mostly wvw (pvp) we (me and my friend) somehow found some likeminded people who invited us to their private voice chat and talk there while playing together. It is not very often, but it is a start, I guess.

Man, one time I joined the public (pvp) raid of a well known crazy guild. Pretty sure that at least the leader had taken some stuff. The shit-talk was hilarious and they didn't care what happened. One of the most memorable raids I had the privilege being a part of.

Well shit, I didn't know that. It has been a long time since I touched Android dev and also never needed that knowledge.

One app I rarely use, uses some event that is triggered when it goes to the background or whatever. As soon as the app leaves the foreground, it shows the "saved" toast. It works both with the home button for the "desktop" and also when using the "open apps" switch UI (whatever that is called). Of course that is a step before the force close and is more complex to to handle for you since the editor window is not closed.

Yeah, on first use it compiles and caches shaders. I think I was disappointed too from that when I first launched talos principle 2. But that was the only time it really affected me. For most other games you won't really notice.

Sorry! So from a user perspective, the navbar just moves, sorry for the confusion. The switch between normal and rail mode works. And both modes work. But when I change the setting in a way that makes the bars switch, any of them stops working. Meaning, the buttons are interactable and theey switch their active state, but their action is not triggered. Restarting the app fixes it.

Example:

1. Be on Home page
2. Go to settings
3. Set rail from off to on (or reversed)
4. Tap on inbox (or saved, ...)
5. Active button changes (the highlight showing on what page we are) but the page is not changed (we stay on the home page and do not navigate to the inbox)

Also, I found out (I think) that when writing a comment, and in the middle switching to another app and then closing summit, does not save a draft. I assume, you only save drafts when navigating inside the app and do not check that. I mean I did not expect it to, just letting you know.

OT but beware that nova launcher was sold to some "ad" company. I switched to neo launcher since.

Not sure what problems you had. I am using a secondary drive for steam for years now on xubuntu. I think they even get re-added automatically now if you started steam before you mount the drive.

On one hand it's great that it works that way. On the other hand, I use youtube only sometimes on my tablet so I would like to have my subscriptions carried over. Can't have it all I guess.

I would like to suggest my wooting keyboard. It is not quiet but i think their switches should qualify as linear. Not sure about the layout but I have the german layout so that might be a "yes"? I have the 100% variant. Sorry, i am not very deep into keyboards.

Their config tool is basically a website, so as long as you have a browser with webusb support on a system it works. Had some problems with the udev rules (most likely a "me" problem), so I used the desktop version instead.

Bonus you get is that the switches are an analog input. So you can change mode to analog and have like "slow walking" in games. Though, I have not tested that yet.

BUT it is hella expensive.

I also have cheap paddles (i think that that is the right word?) off amazon i use often. But the "support" is basically that the config is saved on the device so you config it once in wndows and that was it. I just bound it to random keys once and assign them in games. Would need to dig up what the paddles are called though.

Thats a quick list that i got at a glance from steam. It is a collection of a lot of very different genres, so there should be at least something in there for everyone.

Some of them I have not played in years and not sure about their current state but i am sure that they only became better.

If the game is on steam it is pretty easy. I just install the newest custom proton from glorious eggroll. And before i start a game for the first time is select this instead of the default proton. Then it just works generally. I don't check protondb anymore, only in case of problems. I can't even recall a game that doesn't work currently. Granted, i don't play AAA, only indie games.
