Hi everyone! I want to degoogle my TV box (Mi TV Stick, running Android TV 9), so I'm looking for an alternative OS.

Is there any custom ROM or alternative OS I can flash on it? If not, what's the best way to get as close as possible to a degoogled TV experience (debloating with ADB, alternative launchers, open source apps, etc.)?

I'd also appreciate any hardware recommendations if a different device is a better starting point for this.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I recently switched from Reddit and I'm using Voyager on Android. I never get a notification when someone replies to me or sends me a message. I only see them when I open the app.

Android notifications are allowed for the app, so it doesn't look like a settings issue on my side.

  • Is there any setting I might be missing?
  • Is this planned for the future?
  • Is there any workaround for Voyager specifically?

Thanks in advance!

I try voyager but the probleme that i found is notifications. The app has no notifications permission so you should open the app to show received msg or cmts. Did you know what the solution ?

Hi everyone! I recently switched from Reddit and I'm still getting used to Lemmy.

I'm looking for an Android client that feels as close as possible to the Reddit experience: a clean feed, smooth gestures, easy community switching and strong user expirience.

I've seen many options (Voyager, Thunder, Jerboa, Summit, Raccoon, Interstellar) and I'm not sure which one to pick. Open source is a plus for me.

What do you use, and why? Any pros and cons from daily use would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!
