Actual larper.

I read this. The guy criticising him seemed like a liberal chud, and the CEO, imo, seems like a centrist chud.

In fact, he seems like an anti corporation radical centrist.

Of course this is the dumbest thing for him to say, considering Trumps corruption with Elon Musk, and him having multi billionaire tech CEOs at his inauguration, clearly Trump is not against big tech.

Any good VPNs big dawg?

[–] PearOfJudes@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well, I am concerned. I paid $100+ on a proton bundle subscription during the Black Friday sale, it came with half a terabyte cloud storage, a fast and Private vpn, and a proton pass which integrates well with the email provider. It was cheap, and private, and it all works well together.

Proton is owned 60 something percent by the proton non profit organisation, which makes regular donations to other private project's like GrapheneOS. It’s worked well for me. But this is really concerning considering I oppose fascism, and broadly want to support a leftist, anti-capitalist movement.

This also sucks because the far right want their internet privacy as much as the anti capitalist left. Does this mean proton is an evil company, that even if it has good, private technology, should be boycotted? When frankly, if the left boycotted, and didn’t participate in any capitalist organisation, we would likely starve to death.

Could this just be a marketing issue? Ffs the consumer should not be blamed for the faults of a company, and using their product.

I mean you did comment this on the internet but good job you’re nonchalant and chill about it etc

It’s really good we are still talking about the Epstein files but I need to emphasise that THE WAR ISN’T TO DISTRACT FROM THEM, but is Israel’s plan to colonise the Middle East. This is a bigger deal imo.

THATS THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE STILL USE GMAIL! Proton Mail has 1 free gb, I didn’t use it when I had the free plan.

[–] PearOfJudes@lemmy.ml 7 points 2 months ago

I use proton pass because I our a subscription to proton unlimited and proton pass lets me hide my emails by making a forwarded email which is helpful.

I love reading intellectual memes like this I got no idea what they're referencing.

The idea of a big oil ceo embracing renewable energy seemed so unreal, and the "solution for immortality" so futuristic, in my mind I didn't connect the headlines and thought in the future the oil CEO would be calling fossil fuels the "alternative energy" T-T.

Chromium is all I can install GrapheneOS on. Chromium has its uses, pretty sure it's opensource? And there are privacy friendly chromium browsers like a debloated brave.

I know a left-centrist guy who seems to want to improve things but at the same time talks about not voting against landlords because one day he may live off owning a house and renting it off.

Hello, thought I would post this on lemmy before reddit or some other forum.

I want to make make a scarier version of minecraft to play with a few of my friends. I have a desktop running debian with 4gb of ram allocated to the server, so it needs to be kind of lightweight. Here's the kind of stuff I'm looking for.

I want it to last maybe a month, people start vanilla servers like they're going to last forever, and they never do, so I want an experience which will start and end, satisfyingly in a short-ish amount of time.

I want it to be scary, and hard. I don't want players to simply "skip the night" I want night to be something they have to go through, and for it to be difficult. I want some linear progression mods, zombie hordes which get progressively more difficult, daytime is a rush for people to get as much gear and head underground during the night. I want there to be a real need to build a base. I want mobs to be able to break in if the base isn't strong enough. And I want a lot of co-op multiplayer gameplay.

I want the player mechanics to essentially remain the same. No thirst mods for example. I want it to have a bit of a pre 1900s theme, no gun mods, maybe some fantasy/medieval themes. And obviously I want it to be fun and immersive. Any version as long as it's compatible with a wide range of mods.

Any help would be great, thank you.

I Recently deleted my Gmail account without first deleting all of my other accounts associated with that Gmail account.

I have tried logging into my Instagram account and it tells me that I can't access it without first accessing my Gmail account. I have tried recovering my Gmail account and I can't recover that either.

I can just search up my Instagram account using any search engine and find my identity and photos associated with me publicly available.

I have looked at Instagram's requirements for deleting an Instagram account, and they say that I have to log in for security reasons.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Spotify, freetube, youtube website, either it's a streaming issue or an audio playback issue. Whenever my cpu is working too hard audio playback stutters and delays making it unlistenable. Actually some games have alright audio so I think it's a streaming issue. Anyway I want to know how to prioritise sound streaming or playback cpu in linux?

I think car privacy isn't talked about amongst any privacy enthusiasts online ever, and it apparently is one of the biggest data collectors out there. For someone like me who values electric cars for there affordability and environmental reasons, but still want physical car buttons and control over my data, how would I go about this?

Hi, I have an old HP Notebook - 14-an018au, which has 4gb ddr3 ram and runs windows 10 on a 10 ish year old 1tb harddrive. This is a secondary computer, but it has a lot of old files from when I was like 13 years old that I want to backup, but I also have like 300gb of space taken up on the harddrive. So things like my chrome history, app settings, and unique files I would want to keep, but the large apps themselves I don't want to keep. Also this computer is impossible to work on with its current operating system, so something which is a quick solution please.

And also, what distributions would you recommend that would a) work on this old computer and b) might be kind of fun to mess around with, as a secondary device

Anyway thanks
