Or by not reading it because let's face it, you won't gain anything by reading the telegraph.
What business purpose does it serve to continually improve their product? Hmm. Gee. Hmmmmmmm. Geeeeeeeeee. I'm stumped.
This seems to be the European take too from what I've seen.
I thought we were unique in this but frankly everywhere in the "western" world is talking about the same things. EU has chat control, Australia has similar efforts, USA aren't pushing for privacy at all so it's not a uniquely British problem.
Basically any channel that started doing "reaction" content. Oh you're reading the top page of Reddit today? Cool, what creative value does that have to me? Absolutely none. Goodbye. I get that it's really popular but I have no idea why, and I get it's cheap to make but it's also shit, so you get what you pay for I guess.
The only exception to this is Jimmy Broadbent who occasionally does his "Sim Racing Stewards" series which is basically his take on Reddit user submitted clips of their online racing mishaps. I find it really interesting to watch because he has so much sim racing experience and, albeit less, experience of real world racing with real life stewards and racing rules. It's entertaining and interesting and I want to know his opinion on these incidents because he has enough context to have an opinion, and doesn't act like his opinion is gospel.
One of my primary use cases isn't covered by this article and that's a consistent user experience from one terminal emulator to another. I have personal and work devices, and I don't have control of what terminal emulators I can use on the work device, so tmux is the only way I can work with consistent keybinds and a consistent experience across all terminal emulators with nothing but a single git clone of my dotfiles. Yes I get stuck behind in features but I kind of couldn't care less about terminal notifications or title renaming (the examples used in the post). I'm always in the terminal, I don't need notified to come back to a terminal I'm already using.
If I'm wrong please tell me but it's worked for me for years without too many issues across tons of terminal emulators from iTerm to gnome-terminal, xfce4-terminal to windows terminal.
As the guardian usually does
I booked a flight recently, the translation engine was obviously having issues so instead of giving helpful labels for form fields it was stuff like: "{{ name.first }}", which I could figure out for the most part, but then on submission I got an error with no description at all. I opened the dev tools and resubmitted the form to find the API response which gave me the actual error. 2 pages previously a form field hadn't been set correctly by the web page (it was a drop-down, I selected an option, the error said it was null). I managed to force the field to populate properly and hey presto, submission works. Ridiculous.
Also chromosome tests aren't a foolproof indication of sex anyway. People can have one set or another while still having the properties associated with the other sex, so it doesn't really work as a definitive measure. The question is reasonable until you examine it and it's motives.
The question subtly suggests that if she had a Y chromosome then she has some biological advantage and therefore doesn't deserve the medal she earned. Does she actually have an advantage from the Y chromosome? Are we going to ensure through DNA testing that all competitors are going to be exactly equal by genetics? If so, we're going to have 8 clones of Usain Bolt competing for the 100m sprint. Michael Phelps arguably had a biological advantage by having hyper flexible shoulders, are we disqualifying those biological advantages? Of course not, so what do they actually mean when asking those questions about the chromosome? They don't have meaningful answers to the questions I raise, they just want to add fuel to the fires of the culture war for their own political means.
Yes I was wrong to say that this an implementation detail rather than a protocol problem as the OpenSSH release notes to prevent this vulnerability include extensions to the SSH Transport Protocol, however I still believe that the headline is sensationalist at best since it can and has been protected against by patching ssh clients and servers. It would be entirely unreasonable in the majority of cases to simply stop using SSH on the basis of this vulnerability and that's why I think the headline exaggerates the problem. The Register has a much more measured take on this including comments from the paper's authors that people shouldn't panic and try to fix immediately.
It's almost like their supposed beliefs aren't sincerely held and they are nominally attaching themselves to that belief system to lend credibility to whatever they want to spread. This post is about MAGA, people with "legitimate concerns" about immigration while rioting and destroying livelihoods, and about these fucks.
