We can all recognize the iconic Jeep is the Wrangler, but there are plenty of other models they produce for different uses and customers. If you were buying a new Jeep today, which model would you choose and why?

Now, what if purchase price was not a factor? Maybe a rich relative would buy it for you. Maybe you finally won the lottery! Could be a genie emerges from that old oil lamp in the attic at Grandpa's house that he never told you about and will only grant you a Jeep wish. haha Does that change things for you at all?

What are your typical daily activities and what kind of user are you?

Most command line proficiency comes out of necessity in managing a server that doesn't have a GUI. You are forced to learn how to do things in a text only environment, solve problems that you run in to, and keep services running.

I don't go to Red Robin very often, but a few years ago I took my kids and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for myself. Let me tell you, that was a small piece of heaven. They removed it from the menu quite a while ago and I miss it. Is that just me, or does anybody else remember that sandwich fondly?

Has anybody been searching for a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and having problems locating one? Have the hybrids really become so popular that they are taking over the dealer showrooms? Can you even get a Jeep without the extra hybrid stuff anymore? As it turns out, California's war on everything gasoline from your lawn care equipment to your vehicles is spreading to make your life difficult in new ways, even if you live all the way across the country on the East Coast.

Really though, the Rubicon goes where it wants, despite California's idiocy.

I have heard rumblings about people putting mayonnaise on the outside of their bread used for grilled cheese sandwiches and it being the best thing ever. I haven't had the guts to try it myself. Has anybody heard the rumors and/or done this? How did it turn out?

I like hiking and want to do more of it. Is anybody else in the area that would like to go on some local hikes that aren't too strenuous?

I tend to look at AllTrails to find hikes, but what do you use?

Yeah, so there are 8 links, but thousands of Lemmy servers. This will never scale and there's no way I'm going to go do that every time I update, which will never have an up to date list of all relevant domains. This isn't even a valid workaround, much less a real solution unfortunately.

Also, those are all second level domains, but I'm seeing most Lemmy servers are at subdomain level. This means the system would be trying to send say mail.lemmy.ml to Jerboa, which it isn't equipped to handle nor would I want it to.

Jeep has put out a recall in association with the US NHTSA for rear coil springs that may have been improperly installed in 2022-2023 Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Grand Cherokee L models, which may lead to them falling out while driving. Notices will go out to owners starting at the end of July.

Welcome to the community!

I am an experienced moderator and would be happy to help. I am also following Lemmy development, the Reddit situation, and trying to help a bit on both fronts.

Absolutely not! Clicking on links to a LOT of other communities/posts ends up opening a web browser within Jerboa to view the content. I got so tired of it that I moved to the mobile web site and now the user interface is consistent.

We should all adopt this when posting! LOL

Yeah, let's be honest. We saw the name, laughed, and said that's the place for me!

As I read it, sh.itjust.works does not allow porn communities to be created or federated here, but one of our users could still post NSFW content to one of the NFSW communities that are hosted on another instance.

If a server becomes blocked by some other server(s), then neither can communicate or access the resources of the other, but they can still access resources from the other parts of the fediverse. If a server is unfederated from every other, then they operate as their own separate little island by themselves.
