Is this so a user is assisted with AI or is it more that it’s yet another vector for Microsoft to be gathering more training data?

I saw elsewhere this is a new feature in iOS 18.1, so it will probably pretty solid I’d think. But for shortcut wise, at minimum I suppose one could put automations that trigger when it detected within certain geofences or something… but then whenever you drive by your local police station it will kindly reboot your phone every time lol

Note to those wishing for such a function, it’s possible by creating an iOS Shortcut - New Shortcut > Shutdown > Change it to ‘Restart’.

From there, you create an automation in Shortcuts to run based on time, location, etc.

Yeah but thats what has confused me too about these “bans” is I don’t see the strategy of it. Good points, I got nothing, but open to ideas as I’m highly curious since it’s been also of course the US doing this.

Vent to an AI?

It’s also so wonderfully mechanical and smoothly animated. Might not hit for those that didn’t grow up with similar styles or something.

I think it’s to mean that the company can’t have any actual operations taking place on Canadian soil maybe? Like no offices/servers etc.?
