I think the upvote downvote system is a really great way to see what sort of ideas divide a community, as long as we can see both upvotes and downvotes. Reddit just made it a goal to farm as many upvotes as possible for that silly little Karma number to go up. I think karma (in a backend sense) could work for mods to be able to see problem users etc. but even then its still a pretty silly idea.
Once June 30th hits, I'm wiping my reddit account and moving over here. Seems much nicer here
I've moved here cause of the current Reddit drama, and I gotta say, this is a lot nicer than reddit currently is
As someone who is doing a course in games design using Unity, this change has made me actually start learning Godot and Unreal. I will need to completely relearn everything Iโve been taught so far. But hey, lets me try out different engines I guess
